Pearl Buck의 The Good Earth를 보는 중인데
주인공 Wang Lung이 한 180쪽 될 때까지 너무 가난하고 굶주려서
괜히 내가 계속 막 배가 고파 끊임없이 먹어댔다.
너무 계속 먹어대서 그러다 훅 간다며
일터에서 옆에 앉은 애가
걱정스러운 눈으로 쳐다본다.

그 전 The Confessions of St. Augustine을 보면서는
좋다하는 문장들을 노트에 옮겨적다가
나중에는 너무 많아 포기하고
그냥 책 전체를 형광색으로 다 칠해버렸다.
