the more you judge, the less you love. that's why.

being smart or looking smart is less important, less meaningful than being able to love. i say this and make a mental note because, somehow, "head" and "heart" seem almost incompatible. having both appears a near impossibility. i know the question is about my vanity that never suffices but keeps regenerating its own kinds. vanity that ultimately tires me out. 

and but so i don't want to go there. call me a sentimentalist or whatever you please. (our definitions of 'sentimentalist' will be vastly different, anyway) but i'm not going there.
